Accepted!!!!!

I'm trying to think positive, but at this point it's still a little hard. I've already joined the Facebook group for Spring 2010, and my dad's been great at helping me come up with reasons why Spring is better than Fall for me. :)

 to those who also got rejection letters. Hopefully Spring will be luckier for us.

Yay! You've got to keep in touch and tell me what you're working, so that when I come down in late August I can come visit you at your location... I figure you'll probably be there and all trained by then, right? :thumbsup2

Congratulations Joanna, I know I shouldn't have been, but I was a little worried for you, since your letter took so long.

Thank you! I definitely will say where I'm working. :)

Haha oh how I love the dancing banana's too! Yeah I was excited about QSFB!! And like you thought I was the only one! My first choice was BBBH but its ok I was hoping for QSFB! Have you ever done it before? If so do you only work at one resturant/stand etc? And thank you and congrats to you too!!pixiedust:

For QSFB, if you get QSR you stay in the one area usually. And if you get ODF you can work in more then one location. When I did QSFB, I just worked at Casey's Corner (though I could have also been trained for the other Main Street locations- Bakery, Ice Cream Parlor, and Plaza- if I had wanted).

I got a letter today from my recruiter Jannah (I interviewed with Rhonda on Feb 4th). It said they were reviewing my application and I would know by April 17th. I'm assuming this is because I'm auditioning for Character performer in Rochester March 20th. I'm getting nervous now though that I decided to wait it out and audition because it makes the stakes pretty high if you don't pass the audition, I'm so worried everything will be full. I'm trying to think positive that they haven't rejected me yet but I feel that the reality is just that they haven't even considered me yet. Uggggg anyone else feeling my pain?

My rehire status was lifted shortly after I applied - I'm a campus rep now. However, I think you're on the right track. I think that because I was restricted when I applied they automatically said no. I'm still bummed about it though, because it took way too damn long to go through the rehire process. I waited over two months to hear back..

So you had a restricted rehire at one point? I do, and haven't heard anything, nor have I received any paper work or anything. I'm hella nervous. :scared:

I've been accepted for Fall '09 as a lifeguard!!!
i interviewed January 28th, and recieved my letter on Saturday February 21st!!!

Ok so the Type A in me was wondering what positions are getting offered.

Out of the 21 people (1 person didn't put what they got) who have made it, it has panned out with these positons:

8 - Merchandise
5 - Attraction
2 - Hospitality
2 - QSFB
1 - Housekeeping
1 - FSFB
1 - Lifeguard

Just thought I would share

That's great, I was actually wondering myself!

My son got his acceptance letter yesterday for Custodial. It wasn't his first choice but he is thrilled to have gotten accepted. It was getting scary reading all the "no" postings here.

Wow! Congratulations to everyone!!!! It's so exciting to see more and more being accepted. I can't wait until I apply next Fall!

Hey veterans-
If you show up at a later date, will you be rooming with people who have the same dates as you? For example, will I arrive and already have roommates in my apartment who arrived earlier? Will my roommates leave early too?

Thanks for the information. :)

99% of the time you will be rooming with people who have the same check-in/check-out dates as you.

For my daughter's first semester at Disney she arrived on the second check in day in August and was placed in an apt with 5 residents who had been there for months and all in culinary (she wasn't). They all had varying exit dates (culinary is tied to school schedules) and as some left, others arrived. They did make everyone clear out of the apartment on the final day regardless if they were staying because they claimed they had to clean it for the next group.

She was then put into an apt with 5 others all of whom were extending from the prior semester which blew the whole they clean the apts theory because this apt was filled with garbage (literally) and they could not unpack (everything had to be put up high until a cleaning crew could come in).

Of that group 3 were termed in the first month (even though they had all extended) and one had moved in with a boyfriend but kept paying rent. So it was the two of them for awhile with occasional International Students placed with them until they were moved into their housing. For the last month it was just the two of them and two weeks before their check out day (yes, just two weeks) they made them move into another apartment to consolidate. It was seriously a mess.

Anyway my point here is the roommate situation can be very stable as we have read from other posters or like my daughter you can have 17-30 different roommates over the course of time with varying arrival and departure dates-- I need to ask her if she knows how many she actually had. And the worst part is they change the locks everytime a roommate leaves.

My son and daughter both got accepted for QSFB. My son is definitely going...my daughter is not sure yet.

I was accepted for QSFB for Fall as well! But as of today, I don't think I will be going--a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity just opened up for me yesterday, and I don't think I can pass it up. :confused3

Besides, I really didn't want QSFB, as I have been doing that for years anyway. But I will definitely reapply in the future! :goodvibes

Congratulations on both fronts! May I inquire as to what is so cool that you're passing up missing out on our winter for Florida and the Mouse?
