Acceptances?

How do they do it? Do they trickle out or do they do a bunch at once... for example do they interview for a week and then decide out of that week's interviews who got in and who didn't and send out all the acceptances and rejections at once?

They invite you into a giant room with other applicants and then they either tell the entire room that they are accepted or declined. Kind of like American Idol.

i also wonder if they just keep accepting applications until they fill all the spots, or if they have a certain deadline?
&If the earlier you apply the better chance you have?

hmm., these are the questions that keep me up at night (literally,i havent slept since my phone interview.)

I have my phone interview scheduled for Sept. 22 and I'm curious about this too. My friend is currently in the cp program this semester. She applied in January, but she didn't find out until like April I found that so crazy. I'm wondering if that was because they had the summer to wait before going, so Disney waits longer to process the applications. Not really sure but I would love to know. I've heard stories of people knowing if they were accepted 8 days after their phone interview. Scary stuff.

In spring 2011 i found out in 5 days after my phone interview. I got the purple folder too. So they must have made their decision in like 2 or 3 days.

I think it must depend on each person because all phone interviews take place at different times and some must take place after people get accepted... ? Just my feelings though!

omg. someone in the Facebook group said that their recruiter said 30k people apply and 7k get in. :O what!!! i wonder how many people will have applied by the end of the month??

I think I'm really going to start looking for the decision email on Thursday, exactly one week from my interview. Right now it'd be cool to find out but I'm not really expecting a decision in less than a week even though I've heard stories of 4 and 5 days. If I don't hear by Monday, I'll start getting anxious about it.

It seems like the acceptances sort of come in big groups. Like they send out a bunch of folders/emails at the same time throughout the course of the recruitment period. The earliest I remember hearing about was 5. I found out 10 days after my interview that I was accepted.

I wish I had that willpower! I was told two to three weeks for a decision but even still I have a character audition in a month and I have no idea how I'm gonna hold out until then.... eeek

I don't actually expect to get anything in my email, but i am still constantly checking. I think its part of my anxiety disorder, i don't like being out of the loop. However, i would really love for that little bar on the disney dashboard to MOVE. I'm getting tired of my last update being the thank you for the interview.

And on that note, is anyone else getting multiple emails?! I get two of every email they send out. 'thanks for applying' 'schedual the phone interview' 'phone interview confirm' ??

Yes, I am! I got two of everything except for the most recent one, but I keep forgetting to bring it up here.

I am too! I got a couple of things twice, and then another email I got just once. I think these might be bugs in their new system. It might be good for the acceptance email.. They'll tell you TWICE that you are a soon-to-be Cast Member

I read that also, i think that all the die hards apply with-in the first week, and then when the recruiters go out to the schools, they get thousands of just "randoms" that have not even thought about disney and just apply for the sake of applying. just a thought though, cause at my college career fairs, i applied for all types of jobs i had never thought about doing until i heard there speal about it, but always knew in the back of my mind, DISNEY DISNEY DISNEY is the place for me, lol.

Thats true. Didn't think about all the randoms. do you think its that many per year? or per program? 7k college students at once seems like a bit much..
