Acceptance/rejection emails?

Hey everyone- No I have NOT been notified yet but I have heard in the past of people getting their email within the first week so I figured we could start this thread to see who all will be going. Fingers crossed for all of us-- here's hoping we will all be there together!! Hope the waiting isnt killing any of you... tho it is HORRIBLE!! Cant wait to hear everyone's results.

Please don't set any expectations on anything other than what Disney states:

They may send out emails, but since they don't say to expect notification that way, don't think that you will receive notification that way.

What you should do is set up a filter in your inbox to make sure any message that ends in @disney.com stays in your inbox. That way, if you are sent anything through email, you'll probably see it.

Also don't think that because you interviewed on X date and someone else interviewed on the same date that both of you will receive notification at the same time. They look at people individually and there will be a varyance in when people find out (some may find out earlier than others even if they interviewed on the same date).

And keep in mind that what you are told in the 3-4 weeks may not be a final decision. You may be pended (waitlisted).

It's important to manage your expectations by only what Disney has officially communicated. Especially when emotions are high with anxious anticipation. If someone doesn't, they only set themselves up for unnecessary worry and sometimes panic.

I think we all know it is a case by case thing...but we also know it's really common to get an email?

Anyway...it's been 6 days...feels like 60! Lol nothing yet.

I thought it was innocent too. There had been people who got their final decision through email in less than two weeks. To me, three to four weeks is just seems like the average time frame. We are not expecting any results in a week. But, you never know it might happen, so we are prepare for that just in case. We are also prepare for if we don't get our results until two months later ( hopefully, it doesn't take that long).

Based on history, people set expectations based on info that isn't stated by Disney. I'm just putting it out there not to do that.

I assure you, someone will jump on here and say "I didn't get an email! What does that mean? Everyone said I would get one!!!!!"

All I'm saying is that it is doing a disservice to oneself if an expectation is set based on unofficial information.

Disney doesn't say you will be notified via email. Don't expect it and you won't be disappointed or freak out if you don't get one. But, if you do, then you'll be pretty ecstatic about it.

I say expect as much as you want, set the bar to the moon, sure you may get disappointed but that's life. Keep looking out for those responses.

I am going with what the site and my interviewer said...within 3-4 weeks I should find out something...therefore I have at the most, 25 days left until I find out something....although I am praying for something sooner!

My interviewer told me 2-3 weeks I hope she is right. I don't think I can wait much longer then 3 weeks I'm a bit impatient :

Last time I found out in about 1.5 weeks but I don't mind trying to wait the supposed 19 days I've got left. It at least gives me something to look forward to.

I got told by my interveiwer that I would get an "email response" regardless whether it is a pending or acception I will be happy just to know that they are still considering me.

My lady told me 5 -6 weeks, but I've set my count down at 3-4. I got my careerstart notification about 2 weeks after I applied in fall of 09 for spring 10. so I am ready to wait, but also hopefull that they will just go ahead and let me know as soon as they know.

That said, I know people on the CP that didn't get an email first, they got their folder and then an email. so who knows. honestly just be excited. If you get it, AMAZING, CONGRATS, Ect. if you don't, I'm sorry, and you'll always have next spring!

NOW HURRY UP PEOPLE. I want someone to get their email/folder!

I really don't understand the e-mail delivery process. At the end of my interview, I was told to expect mail in 3-5 weeks, but that I'd probably get an email sooner. What does that mean?

Yep! Only one person so far, its on the facebook group page! I have been waiting 7 days and haven't got anything yet!
