I know this question has been asked before, but the search function is not working. I've read in the past where we can't use a bike lock in Disney for the strollers. Someone had mentioned using a different kind of lock so that the employees can still move the stroller if necessary, but it would be next to impossible to steal. I need more info so that my husband can purchase some kind of lock. We have a Graco duo glider for 6 month old twins. Thanks!

You cannot lock your stroller to a fixed object, such as a lamppost, railing, etc.

You can use any sort of lock you want to that simply disables the stroller. If your stroller has open wheelhubs, the best option is usually a very slim cable lock, as for a bicycle or a computer The best technique is to lock it in such a way that it can move with the lock on it, but just not very well, such as putting a cable through the two front wheel hubs, so that the only way it will roll is while doing a wheelie.

My personal preference is not to restrict the motion in any way; too much hassle for me to have to mess with the lock every 10 minutes when we arrive at another ride. Instead, I use a long-hasp padlock, and put it around one of the fold joints, so that the stroller cannot be folded without removing the lock. That is enough security to give me peace of mind; only someone being deliberate enough to carry a bolt cutter would go to the trouble of taking it on purpose. Anyone who took it by accident would discover the problem as they left the park, and leave it behind for Disney to find and return to me.

I use a ski lock (it's small only about 2 inches long and cost about $15) and lock the front wheels together. Then the stroller can still be moved to a different location by the Disney staff at rides, but no one will steal it because it won't be able to roll on all four wheels.

I've never heard of a stroller actually being stolen. Well, except for the rented ones. Is this really a problem?

I have to say.. I think that locking strollers can just become a hassle... The only time you might think that your stroller has gone missing in when CM move them to another area.. Just take the video camera with you and you're just fine....
