We are planning a 12-night stay next year. This will be our first on-site stay. We have specific dates planned and a very specific room type in mind. Am I crazy to want to book the first 4 nights of the stay right at the 499 day mark of the 4th night, and then add another 4 nights four days later, and then the last 4 nights four more days later in order to make sure I get the reservation that I want? Is that even allowed?

Yes, it is allowed. But unless the room type is extraordinarily rare, like certain suites, probably overkill.

I don't understand how that will help. What room type are you wanting? It's all pretty vague to me. Without knowing what you're talking about it will be difficult for anyone to offer any meaningful advice or comment.

I actually just did it for November 2017. I couldn't book all of the days at first, so I added a day at a time. I wish I had got online earlier when 2017 opened up, because I really wanted a pool/lagoon view at Yacht Club and it was gone for part of our trip by the time I got on in the afternoon:( So some room types, dates, and hotels can go fast. If you want to do it, then do it. Who cares what others think? I might have gotten the room and hotel I wanted if I had just got on earlier. I did get the room I wanted for our entire trip but at Beach Club instead. I am continuing to look though.

I've done this before, but only when we were booking the Royal Asante Presidential Suite at AKL, since there's only one. But I don't think I would go through the hassle for a regular room or suite anywhere else.

That being said, YES you can do it. You can call every day and add another day if you'd like.

Thanks for the responses. I am trying to book King Std. Tower Club at CR. There are only two of these rooms so I want to do everything I can to snag one.

If you are willing to pay rack rate and aren't expecting a discount than go for it if you are that worried about the room booking up. If the system allows the booking than its allowed. :)
