AC Sugar Snap (snap, snap) sighting 10/12/08 (Internet sighting of another)

Pretty sad when it is exciting news to see a former AC character.
Anyway --
7:45 a.m. Sugar Snap, was seen in costume as DH was running in the Race for the Taste.
He was on the trail along the Boardwalk, as coming up to the top of the trail where all the sidewalks meet. Sugar Snap was walking not far away with two men.
They were heading towards the backside of the Jellyroll area. Not to say that is where they were going. But they appeared to be heading towards there.

It happened fast and he was running, so it was a brief sighting. Afterwards he wished he had yelled out Kungaloosh or called out hello to Sugar Snap.

We thought it interesting to even see Sugar Snap, and esp in that area. Certainly the character is being used for something. DH said they seemed pretty oblivious to anything going on with the race going by.

OK, getting drunk and annoying others is not particularly hilarious. And to make a joke out of taking a wheelchair? How is that funny?? I know, it wasn't really someones wheelchair, but it's the point of the matter.......
Sorry, but I don't get the supposed humor of the whole thing. Did I miss something altogether?
