AC protection extended until September

Looks like any of us who booked with Air Canada for this summer are safe. Their creditor protection is good until September. The unions still have to ratify their tentative agreements.... but after the last few days it would be employment suicide if they don't.

Our flights aren't until the end of October so we're still on pins and needles too!

This happened to me in April too. I had booked flights to go to Fort Lauderdale to catch cruise, and the first deadline was 7 days before we were flying out. Obviously there was no need to worry, but at the time, I was getting kind of panicky!

Our flights aren't until March. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed. Congrats to all of you who are now safe.

The goal now is to emerge from bankruptcy protection by September 30th, and there's optimism that can happen now. By October everything should be okay again.

and believe it or not flights to Orlando are beginning to fill up!! All the cheapo fares are gone.
