AC Nielsen Homescan

Does anyone have any experience with AC Nielsen's homescan survey? They send you a barcode reader and want you to scan all purchases you make. They claim you will earn points to earn gifts from their Gift Catalog. Has anyone tried this? Is it worthwhile? I got an offer to try and sign up in the mail.
