Janlynn’s ‘A Bead at a Time™’ Beads Just Opened Pandora’s Box for all Consumers!
The 126 bead collection now gives all consumers the opportunity to create a designer look, at less than 10% of the cost!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release) – Jan 20, 2010 – Chicopee, MA.– The Janlynn Corporation™ announces the debut of their new “A Bead at a Time™” glass and metal charm beads that initially will sell only in A.C. Moore stores. The new line offers consumers the ability to build a beautiful, high-quality bead bracelet at less than 10% of the cost of most designer beads. “Currently it takes years for a woman to fill her bracelet when purchasing designer beads like Pandora, so we figured why not offer a line of high-quality beads that won’t break a consumer’s bank,” stated Tom Lonergan, Executive Vice President of Janlynn.

The collection, now in all 135 A.C. Moore stores, consists of 126 stylish beads that retail between $1.99 and $2.99 a piece (yes … the decimal is in the right spot here folks!). Consumers can customize their bracelets by mixing and matching vibrant colored handmade glass beads, birthstone beads, and a large selection of metal charms that have meaningful resemblance.

The individualized beads can fit on all designer bracelets, such as Pandora™, Chamilia™ and Trollbeads™. “Having the ability to combine beads and styles provides a look of heritage, collection, and uniqueness. We are very pleased with the overwhelming consumer response at A.C. Moore,” stated Denise Carter, Vice President of Product Development at Janlynn.
“We’re delighted to be carrying this new line of beads and are excited to bring it to our customers, who can view and see how to work with the products at our Show & Tell event on Saturday, February 20th in all A.C. Moore stores” states Robin Beam, Director of Education at A.C.Moore.

While A.C. Moore will carry the entire line of “A Bead at a Time’s™” individual beads, Janlynn also offers them in color themed kits that allow consumers a great building foundation in top selling color schemes. (http://www.janlynn.com/results.cfm?SubCategory=937&Desc= ...).

I was pretty excited when I first saw this also.....but did you go look at them in person. They are really junk. Some of the glass beads already had the silver part broken off in the packages, so I think they will never stand up to daily wear. And the silver charms are pretty small and you really can't make out the detail - I had a hard time figuring out what some of them were. I guess you get what you pay for!

I think I would rather have less beads on a bracelet, but have real ones, than have a bunch of knock-offs. Just my opinion.

After looking at these, they just look like knock-offs. I think I'd rather have the real thing for the quality.

I've ordered some beads for my bracelet off of ebay and most of them are pretty good quality.

On another note.....I was at WDW a couple of weeks ago and they sell Pandora-like charms for what I thought was reasonable prices. I got Cinderella's Coach (I think it was $21 with 20% off if you used your Disney Visa). I also got a barrel type charm with mickey's cut out of it. It was around $20. These are both silver. The tiniest gold charm I could find was $90.....I just couldn't buy it :(

Anyone know where I can get a good deal on a pandora bracelet? My DD's godparents have been getting her charms for the past several years for gifts for special occasions (birthdays, Christmas, etc.) But we can't find the actual bracelet right now. She wants to wear it at her graduation this Spring when her Godparents come to visit!

Thanks,
Maggie

These beads are Chamilia beads, which are just like Pandora beads. They are very good quality, and they are the only company which make the Disney beads.

The sterling PAndora bracelets aren't that expensive, probably around $40. There are several online retailers if you google it.

Also, ladies.... beware of charms produced in China. They can contain unacceptably high levels of lead. Inexpensive has a price.

ok I dont really get this but here goes and sorry if this insults some people. Charm bracelets can be had for under $25 dollars from Chamila, Pandora and others alike. The charms start at about $20 depending on the brand and I know I've heard of people buying them used on ebay.

So why on earth do people buy knock offs this is the same as buying knock off uggs, crocs, lv etc. If you can't afford the real thing then buy something else thats nice made of same material. Because the truth is maybe your neighbor or bff doesn't know the difference but the truth is people who do buy the stuff can tell the difference. I can spot fake lv, coach, ugg etc a mile off because you can see the difference in the quality.

Don't waste your money on cheap stuff build a bracelet slowly and enjoy it let it be meant to mean something thats what the bracelets were meant for to be built on experiences etc so they have a special meaning not to be buying beads all at once in the dollar store (acmoore) to look like your wearing something expensive.

Maybe people just like the style :confused3
FYI a knock-off is a counterfeit, there is such a thing as "inspired" which is what these less expensive bead options are.

I do not have a pandora, but I have seen what look like decent quality beads and bracelets at Belk stores, they are sterling and called Belk Silverworks.I am not sure there is a huge difference in price on the bracelets,I think theirs are around 40 on sale, but sometimes I think you can use coupons on them. A lady at a mall jewelry store told me that the advantage to buying Chamilia was that it was a U.S. company, and they carried Disney charms.Still can't decide which I want, they are both pretty.:goodvibes

I don't think it is fair to judge the actions or taste of others. As others have stated, perhaps some people just enjoy the style of bracelet and don't feel they need to spend $400 to get it. The truth is most of the premium you are paying for the authentic items is attributed to branding versus any significant difference you may see in craftmanship (with the exception of the metal type). Maybe some people want to purchase the authentic bracelet and fill it with lower quality beads while they discriminately shop and replace them with authentic pieces over time or via Christmas / birthday gifts. This is a decision that is left to the individual and does not need to be criticized. I, for one, appreciate the initial post to let those who are interested take a closer look.

Just an FYI - I have a Chamilia bracelet and charms because I wanted the Disney ones (actually I have 2 now because the 1st one got filled). Anyway, the Chamilia and Pandora charms both will fit on either bracelet. So I would get whichever bracelet you can find/is less expensive. Then you can pick whatever charms you like.

I also prefer the Chamilia glass beads. They have a much larger selection than Pandora and are really pretty.

I buy the cheaper glass beads-I use them for color and to go with themes..I will not pay $30+ for one glass bead. I've gotten a couple from Amazon for $1.25 each and there is a factory near me which makes glass beads with a sterling silver core for $6.00 each. They are well made and pretty.

I buy the real Chamilia and Pandora silver beads however.
