Will we get better seats for a show if we stay at the same hotel. For example, if we stay at Bellagio will we get better seats for "O"? Does this theory apply to other hotels/shows? (We are only 2 months out & don't any have tickets yet.)

I don't have the answer to your question since BF's dad lives there and we don't stay in hotels, but just wanted to say that I've heard great things about "O", and also wanted to highly recommend "Mamma Mia" at the Mandalay Bay (unless you hate ABBA music, in which case you should avoid it!).

I know that for some shows it doesn't matter whether you are a hotel guest or not, but I'm sure each hotel sets it's own policies. If you've spent a lot of money on gambling though, I'm sure they have special seats set aside for those "special" guests!

Have you tried checking online to see what's available? If you go that route, be careful though, there are lots of websites that sell tickets, but charge different service fees. For Mamma Mia, it was most economical to go through Manadalay Bay's website. We booked about a month out and got pretty decent seats, though it would've been nice to be more in the center instead of on the side.

I don't think so. That's not been my experience. I think winning is the only thing that guarantees you prime seats.

I don't expect to win much since DH does not gamble AT ALL. I will play some slots. Thanks for the info on Mama Mia. I was seriously considering that one - "O" & Mystere are musts. Next on the list is Blue Man Group & then probably Mama Mia. Guess I can justify 4 shows if we stay at a moderately priced hotel.

At the Bellagio, you have to be dropping SERIOUS cash to get comp seats... or even the possibility for better seats. I absolutely love the Bellagio and would stay there anyway personally.

Definately see "O" and Mystere. If you are up for something a little more risque, see Zumanity. It is another Cirque du Soleil show, but is an over 18 show... and for a reason. It is absolutely amazing!

Edited to add:

There are three Cirque du Soleil shows: "O", Mystere, and Zumanity. However at least two more are in the works: one at MGM and one at an undisclosed location. Talk about takeover!

Sorry not sure about your question either. But as for the shows, my sister and her b/f had gone to see the Blue Man Group and Circus Ole-(sp?), and enjoyed both of them.

The two Cirque shows, -O- and Mystere, are stunning, make sure to see. If I ever have to go back there, I would love to see Celine Dion also.

I would venture to say that staying at the hotel will only help you if you are working with a casino host. We always stay at Caesars, so when we decided to see Celine, our host got our tickets for us. However, if you don't gamble, you most likely won't be using a host. At last I heard, to even be rated at Bellagio you need to play a minimum of $25 a hand for at least 4 hours a day. We found this out in January. Enjoy your stay and the shows!:) I absolutely love Vegas!:teeth:

WOW! DH would faint at the thought of it.

Dan- I had been wondering about Celine. I hear her show is excellent. We will rock you will also be playing in August - it features Queen songs. Hate to show my age, but I can sing along to almost all of Queen's songs - & one must sing loudly when it's Queen. (Which isn't usually appreciated by anyone within earshot.)
