She won't be in the vehicle when it's picked up from valet parking to go golfing, or when it returns to the GF. The driver shouldn't use the handicap placard, which was not issued to him. The placard holder can be picked up at the door next time if the vehicle is self-parked, or the couple should expect to be charged for valet parking that day if the driver engages the service.
But if you read my thread, you'll see that the placard can't be removed when I'm not in the car-at that time it will be parked (at BCV, not GF). We're talking about DH leaving the hotel in the car after we came to the hotel together, and since I'll be arriving at the hotel with him, the handicap placard will be legally on the vehicle. We're just talking about him leaving the hotel without me-the car will already be in the lot with the handicap placard on it from when we arrived TOGETHER. He's just leaving alone, not arriving alone. When he returns from golf, he'll avoid valet altogether and self park in the Villas lot, without the handicap placard. It's unfortunate that so many people are misreading my original question and think we're intentionally trying to cheat the system. That wasn't our intent at all.
