? about using credits

there will be 3 adults and 1 child on our dinind plan. we will also be travelling with a 2yr old (who does not have any credits as they are under 3).
i know you can only order up the number of people on the card, meaning i could only order 3 adult meals at a time. My older ds will probably prefer to eat from the adult menu, so i was hoping to use the child credits for my 2yr old.
would i be allowed to use the 3 adult and 1 child credit, then go back up and use another adult credit. the reason i ask is, we are bound to have unused credits from days where we go offsite (eg seaworld and universal) and rather than waste these its seems to make sense to use them on my ds.
i hope this makes sense.
please note i am not trying to get any extra credits or get an adult meal for a child credit. i just want to know if i am allowed to do this, or are you restricted to using 'x' in any one day.

If you are using an adult credit to purchase an adult meal, then you should be able to do it.

I would love to know this too . I am not sure if they keep track of how many adult vs child cs meals. But for next time we would like to follow the rules.
We just got back & we ordered whatever we wanted because we did not know & then on the last day we were told no we could only order 3 adult & 4 child at anytime and we were treated very bad & we were very embarrased. We had 3 adults & 4 children. We asked at check in but we could never get a straight answer.

The rule is that you must use an adult credit to buy an adult meal and a child credit to buy a children's menu meal, where a children's menu is available. You will not be permitted to order more meals than you have people on your reservation in one transaction.


Using adult credits to buy adult meals is not against the rules, but you may not buy 4 adult meals in one transaction if you have only 3 adults on your reservation. This is to prevent the use of credits purchased for children, which cost a third of what the adult credits cost, to buy meals off the regular menu.

Using a credit for which the children's price was paid to purchase a meal off the regular "adult" menu is a violation of clearly stated WDW policy that children's credits, including counter service credits, should be used only to order from the children's menu where one exists. Because the OP didn't ask this question,the thread is still open. Further discussion of purchasing adult meals with children's credits will close the thread, as the DIS does not permit discussion of getting around the stated rules of Walt Disney World regarding the dining plan.

They don't care who EATS the meals, only that you get what you paid for.

You probably won't need to order a meal for your 2 year old. The 2 year old will eat free at buffets. He/she can eat off of your food at sit down places.

Also, there are greatly improved kid meals at table service restaurants which your older daughter might enjoy. Each place seemed to have a "pre-plated" meal themed to the restaurant which included all the food groups. At 50s Prime Time it included a chicken breast, pasta, fruit salad, yogurt and green beans. At Coral Reef, it was white fish with rice, and I don't remember what else--actually good food in very generous quantities. I'm a 50 something and I ordered a kid meal twice--great price and I don't eat as much as some people.

If you know you'll have extra credits, why not consider some signature restaurants or dinner shows?
