? About unused days on hopper tickets

I'm sure this has been hashed out in the past. I did a search, but only found answers pertaining to WDW. So, sorry if this is a repeat discussion.

Can I buy a 5 day hopper, use 3 days, then sell the remaining 2 days (I know the hopper expires within 2 weeks from the 1st day of use)? My mom said something about a signature possibly being on the pass though, making it non-transferrable or something.

Has anyone done this? Would you recommend or not recommend this?

They are non-transferable, but I really don't know how they can check these things. Just make sure whomever's buying it is the same gender as the first person to use it--I have seen them check the names on the back and I think they might be suspicious if the person didn't fit the name. It's not like the APs which have your picture on them.

The official answer is no you can't sell them / give them to someone else because they are nontransferable.

The practical answer is as long as you do not sign them there is no way that they can tell who used them yesterday or a week ago. So in that respect, yes you can sell them / give them to someone else to use.

A regular hopper doesn't expire.

Personally, I would buy the 7 day with 4 plus. Use half this trip and use the other days next trip. If the next trip is a year or more away, ticket prices will have probably gone up a bit so you would be 'saving' even more.

Disneyland hopper infact do expire, most within 13 after first use. I think you are confussing WDW with Disneyland. You are right WDW hopper do not expire.
