? About transferring T-Shirt designs?

I want to make a T-shirt from one of the designs someone made on this site.

Now I realized I purchased "lite" t- shirt paper from Avery. What is the difference? Will it work on red?

Do I need to buy another packed of "dark" paper for 1 shirt?

Can you take it back and trade it in? I've never used the dark ones, but I've used the light ones on a darker colored shirt (light purple) and it where the paper was, it looked darker. Plus you couldnt' see the picture very well. So I wouldn't waste your red shirt trying.
