? about Transferring Points

I have a friend that is purchasing points from another DVC member. That member is transferring the points to me so I can book her vacation and manage it.

How long before the transfer is reflected in my bank online? Will it take longer to show up online or is it immediately reflected? The member is making the transfer with 50% down and then she is paying him the other 50% after the transfer is completed.

It is imediate, MS will call you while on the phone with the person who is transfering to you so thay are sure you really want to use your 1 time per calander UY transfer ability.

if i have points @ ssr, and i have a family member with points @ BLT, am i able to have them make a reservation for me @ blt at the 11 month window, and me transfer points to them. if so, do the points remain @ ssr, or are they able to use them @ BLT as if they were theis to begin with?

The transferred points would remain SSR points. Your family member could not use them anywhere but SSR until the 7 month window opened.

I disagree. I've transferred bwv points into my bwv account when I needed more points to book a family reunion than we had available. The points were in my account online immediately.

I took a point transfer from a member a few months ago. The transferred points do not show online for our account. Maybe they do if the transfer is from the same resort as your home? I don't know, but we own AKV and we took a transfer from someone with OKW. I hate having to call and check points available because they are not reflected in our online account. Only when we book something, do the points used show up under the vacation details section, but not the points that are still remaining to use. (Hope that made sense). I know somebody also mentioned that MS will call you when you are accepting a point transfer-this did not happen in our case. We gave the other party our info and the transfer was done completely without any verbal verification from us at all.

Ah thanks.. I had some points transferred this weekend, and I was wondering if they would show up.

I've had points transferred to me 5+ times and they've never shown up on my on-line point allotment, which looks kind of silly because it shows the actual point used for the reservation but the points can never add up.

Hey, as long as they show up on MS's screen, it's the only thing I care about.
