any extra room? , sounds like a dream trip.




2 of my all-tyme favories resorts are...port-"o", [ early mornings
i likes walking around the inlet heading to the lake.] so
peaceful & quiet. and the pool's characters.






cornado springs. met up with an~old codger & became friends.

his job was to pick up guests driving one of those go-carts.
it was so much fun riding around & talking to guests.
added bonus. he gave me stickers for helping him & to pass out.

another pleasant surprise . there were many neat/romantic places
to get cozy & shower affections. prefect for sharing sweet embracing
and extended one's honeymooning days. [ lil'white beach with hammock
or the lantern~lite bridge or the slide steps under the palm tress, after
the pool closes. not that i had any personal knowledge to give.., just
observations & wishful thinking ]

* the cornado has one danger zone. the back of the pool near the hot tub,
has foilage & not to far from the pond. that pond, while we were
there had a gator. we called him t~bow.

though you may not be going to these 2, & i have never stayed @
cab. beach, the idea.....is to do a little exploring as each resort
have lil' treasures , hidden & waiting for a treasure hunter to find.
maybe you can do it together?

wow, i just realized.... i am old enough to be the new codger.
might need to get a tee shirt , in bold letters, "blt owner! looking for
three company?"... . ( actually we trying to go home this dec.)

I go all or nothing -- I have no room in my life for the moderates! If I can't stay Deluxe or DVC, I stay at Pop. It's a vastly different experience, and I prefer DVC resorts, but I still enjoy the trips.

As you can tell from my siggy, we are recent CBR pirate room visitors and are planning another 2 nights at the end of our trip this December. My 5 year-old son LOVED LOVED LOVED the room, the pools, the hotel - everything really. Even my husband was impressed and actually said he prefers CBR over the Poly (mainly because of cost and because he and the kids liked the CBR pool better).

I think you and your son will be very happy there! It's plenty of room for 2 and honestly, we never thought the walk from the pirate rooms to OPR was really that far. We actually enjoyed the walk (that being said, we did go in November, so it was probably in the coolest months).

I agree with a PP - the food court is actually pretty good there - lots of variety compared to most of the DVC quick service places. (I really loved their baked cheese zita - YUM!) Nothing fancy, but a pretty decent choice of good+ meals.

Is your son doing the pirate cruise there? We didn't try it last time, but are hoping to have DS try it this time
