So we are about to book a cabin for our next vacation in Dec. 2012. I would love to know where people would say what loop to request and why. We are very excited and having been non stop reading about the fort.

Any planning tips would help us alot. Thanks!!!!

It really depends on what is important to you. The cabins are all pretty much the same on all the loops. If you like the idea of the quiet cabin pool, request a loop near that pool. If you want to be able to walk to the Meadows TP and that pool area, request 2100 or one of the loops near there. If you want to be able to walk to the Outpost, request one of the loops near that.
I'm sorry, that's probably not very helpful. We usually request 2100, 2200 or 2300, because we like being close to the Meadows area.

Other things that might matter to you - something close to a bus stop? Close to the laundry?

The cabins are awesome. Have fun!

We just returned from our first stay in the cabins (we usually camp). We were put in the 2800 loop. We felt too far away from everything there so if we return to the cabins, we would request the 2100 loop. The cabin was very clean and nice and we had plenty of room for the five of us. Having a golf cart made getting around easy, but we missed camping.

HERE is a map of what's where at the Fort that might be helpful. Cabins are loops 2100-2800.

Thanks everyone for the info. Even though it is far away we are getting excited planning!
