Turn in your Star Wars fan cards, team...especially you Dustin :)

Chat was completely hosed during the live podcast, so not sure anything got through...the (admittedly scary) picture while talking about the Rancor for Star Wars Weekends was not a minor character from Episode II. In fact, that character is not in the movies at all - it is Ahsoka Tano, from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. A major character in that show. And she is voiced by Ashley Eckstein, who has been appearing at and co-hosting Star Wars Weekends for several years. My kids are HUGE fans.

She also helps support the NE DISMeet... :) She is the founder of HerUniverse, which makes SF-themed apparel and accessories for women/girls, including Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, etc.

I'm available for future consultation on geeky issues :)

Description (and photo source): http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rancor

I have to say I'm just drooling at the chance to have my photo taken with it.

Wow OOPS. I feel stupid. Thanks for clearing that up though.

Didn't really want to make you feel stupid...I'm just a stickler for these details. And my kids definitely wouldn't allow that to go uncorrected ;)

I'll buy you a beer next month...

I was sitting there, watching the live show going, "I love you guys, but no. Just no. My inner Star Wars geek HAS to correct you."

Also, Ahsoka is not a Twi'lek, or one of those girls who danced for Jabba, as was implied in the video. She is a Togruta.

For clarification, Wookiepedia describes them as: a carnivorous humanoid species from the planet Shili. The species exhibited head-tails which were similar to those of Twi'leks.

LOL. Me too! I was fussing at the screen, "It's Ahsoka! She's a big deal, and not in EP II."

Hey it's okay Dustin we all make mistakes. Personally I am just so happy to have a Star Wars Fan on the show that I can overlook past the occasional slip.

I have to admit that I don't know every single character. I know the majority but The Clone War series characters are hit and miss for me. I slowly came around to it. I know Ahsoka because Ashley her voice actress seems very cool.:thumbsup2

To be fair, I chose not to weigh in on the issue, because I had no idea who she is since I do not watch the Clone Wars series. I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but I stick to the two trilogies, the ewok films, the horrendous Christmas special, Star Tours, and a few of the video games. Beyond that, I fail.

You must prefer to be disappointed in the order George Lucas intended.

Now it's "I prefer to be disappointed in the Order Disney chooses.":thumbsup2

I haven't seen all of the Horrendous christmas special. I wondered how they bribed Harrison Ford to be in it. I've seen the Parts that Carrie Fisher approved of showing. Saw her at the convention last year. Man that sounds geeky.:upsidedow
