We are headed to WDW in August and we are looking for different things to do. This will be our forth trip to the World. The first two were commando style the third was a little bit more relaxed. We have done all the usual attractions and shows and this time were hoping to do some different little know things. Like some quiet place to let the kids feed the ducks, or some place to feed the kids to an alligator.

We are going to book a fireworks cruise, but would appreciate any advice on out of the way things to do and see.

Thanks

We had fun doing "The Kitchen Sink" one day at Beaches & Cream.

We also enjoy having pool days & just lounging.

Take a ride to FW & rent bikes. You can ride them over to the Wilderness Lodge. There is also a petting zoo at FW. They have a great & reasonable buffet breakfast you could start the day with.

Mini-golf one afternoon or evening.

Go to one of the MK resorts one evening to watch the Electric Light Parade.

FW also has movies & a campfire every evening, which is free.

I am sure you'll get many more suggestions!! :D

We like touring the resorts. Each one is really unique and special. You could have lunch at one, do some shopping at another, have dessert somewhere. There's the BW, there are lots of fun things to do there in the evenings. Mini golf is fun, DTD is too.

You didn't say where you are staying. At POFQ, probably POR, too, there is a horse drawn carriage ride you can take in the evening. It $30 for a 30 minute ride. I'm going to try this on our next family trip. The kids think it will be fun.

These are all great ideas.

In addition to the petting zoo and bike rentals at FW they also have horseback riding and hiking trails as well as hayrides.

Try a fishing trip (catch and release only).

Go parasailing or rent water mice and boat around the lake.

I am sure you will get lots more ideas.

This is the thing I love about Disney and why I can go alot and still never get tired of it. There is always something different to do. I will probably never do it all, but I am sure gonna try!

"Feed the kids to an alligator". I got it:laughing:

Wow, what a lot of great ideas. I was thinking nine days would be enough, but now I don’t know. I really like the idea of eating my way around the resorts.

The backstage tours are something we had not thought about, any recommendations on which one to take?

I really appreciate all the suggestions.

Have you been over to Tom Sawyer Island at MK? It's a nice place to sit and feed the ducks, watch the riverboat go by and listen to the wolves howl. How about checking out the animals at AKL and dinner at Boma?

a bit on the expensive side but you might catch cirque du soleil at downtown disney...we really enjoyed it and have caught it when it has come to philly...
have fun!!!!
