1) Will they ever get around to making the movie ?

2) Will it be in the true fashion of the animated features, or will they go all Hollywood and lose the vision ?

3) will they use their actors (i.e. Selena Gomez, Brenda Song, etc.), or will they hold open casting calls ? (I'd like to see Selena and Brenda in the yellow jumpsuits OMG!!)

Cool...can't wait.

Did a google search and found information back from February with rumors about Lucasfilm possibly wanting to be involved.

Star Blazers along with Speed Racer were my two favorite cartoons growing up in the late 70's / early 80's.

Speed :teleport:

As far as I know Disney gave up their rights to make it a long time ago. They got the rights in the late 90s.

Last I heard was that Skydance was negotiating for rights a few months ago:

There was a Japanese live action movie last year that looked awesome - but no dub/subtitled version that I've seen yet.

Syfy has been showing Star Blazers late at night, but they may be dropping their anime block soon.

LOL,
Yeah I was about to say that they just made a new movie (not Disney of course). Not only that but both live action and anime movies were just released.
The animations in both look stunning. However I spotted some of the actors from the last Godzilla movie in the cast of Starblazers and that is bad. That Godzilla film was absolutely horrible and not in the good cheesy way.

Outstanding work:cheer2:. Thanks:worship:.
