Someone said that a bell rings every time the bucket at the new pool area dumps water. Is this true and can you hear it in the rooms that have a pool view?

Thanks!

I don't know about the bell, but if you plan on napping during the day, I strongly advise against building 4 facing the pool. These rooms have the pool directly outside and can be fairly loud. I believe if you are in building 2 facing the garden pool you should be ok. This is not near the playground area, so you will not have the noise from it.

It does have a bell that rings each time, but I don't think it's really loud enough to be heard outside the pool area. We stayed in building 1, with a Disney view (which also put us right near the pool) and we didn't hear anything. We did take naps during the afternoon, which would be the busiest time at the pools I would think.

Yes, there's a bell but it isn't too loud. I definitely wouldn't want to stay in the building that fronts the pool area but when we were in bldg 2 we couldn't hear it.

The new play area is NOT a pool!!!!!! It's just a water play area and a hot tub.

The pool area is in the garden area, and at night that area is very quiet once the pool closes.

Pool view and waterplay area are totally different things, and I don't think it can be stated enough. :upsidedow

We were in building one, fourth floor, right past the elevator and yes, we could hear the ringing each time. It almost sounds like the DL train. Once we heard the "ding, ding, ding" we could look out the window and see the giant bucket tip over. The whole water area is really cool, they did a great job and the kids really enjoy it. It only runs from like 9 am to 10 pm, not during normal sleeping hours. And the view of the fireworks from our balcony was PERFECT! We were so close and it was so loud that you almost felt like you were in the park...and we could hear the music (not too loud, though). Anyway, the staff was fabulous, our room huge and parking plentiful. A very enjoyable Hojo stay, well worth the $74 per night Ent Rate.

Stayed in a great room - 4th floor in building 1 this past July. It wasn't the sound of the bell going off that sort of got annoying - it was the SQUEEEEEEEEL of the kids beneath the bucket of water every time it dumped on them! Seriously - we got used to it and it never really bothered us.:)

I know I would very quickly get used to the squeels and bell rings. However, my 3 and 5 y/o that are supposed to be having nap/quiet time may have a completely different experience.....
