Ours are, regrettably, too old for Neverland and too young to be turned loose! When they were of the appropriate ages, both LOVED Neverland.
Our son enjoyed the real arcade games that were FREE! He couldn't get over playing those games without filling them full of quarters.
Our daughter loved playing with other little girls, doing arts/crafts, and games.
Both enjoyed their buffet dinner and indicated there were CMs that went through the line with them and held their plates as well as filled the plates after asking preferences. This was one of my concerns since our son has mild cerebral palsy (it wouldn't be evident from his appearance) and I was afraid that due to his lack of coordination he'd spill a plate or something. I was also concerned the kids would burn themselves attempting to scoop their own food.
In the good old days Neverland had a character appearance, but this doesn't happen any longer. They also used to have an animal handler from Discovery Island who brought birds and small reptiles. I don't know if they do this any longer either.
The CMs at Neverland are GREAT! Our daughter was a bit timid during our first visit. She wouldn't stay but our son did (she stayed with her cousin and aunt instead). After she went along to pick up her brother, she was so sad that she chose not to stay. She couldn't wait for the next trip to do it as well.
As others have said, this was an attraction for our kids and they couldn't wait to go and didn't want to leave! They also would have liked to go more than once per trip, but we wouldn't cave on that--we wanted family evenings, too!
