i just got the camera for christmas an it takes really nice pics out side but its fuzzy inside not sure what im doing wrong i have read the book still confused help please leaving for disney soon and what to beable to take some nice pics of my dds

I honestly have never heard of that brand. I googled it some and from what I can tell, not much is known about them. They have never even been mentioned by the major review sites. It might not be you. It might be the camera's capabilities. Hopefully someone out there knows more about this brand.

From the online prices, they do not look all that cheap either. If you can return it still, you might want to consider a Canon "A" series with a similar price.

As for why they are fuzzy, it is likely using a long shutter speed in order to gather enough light to properly expose the image. When that happens, it is difficult to keep you subject from moving and to keep your hand from moving the camera. A tripod will likely help with the hand motion, but not much can help with subject motion. Does the camera have any manual controls of shutter speed, aperture, or ISO?

yes it have all kinds of diff. settings i just dont know much about them i have read the how to book still very confused thanks for your help

It may also be setting the ISO speed very high. That usually happens inside using an Auto setting. You pictures will be grainy looking. You are probably experiencing both high ISO and high shutter speeds, so you have the worst of both worlds.

A agree with ukcatfan. If you can return it, look into a Canon "A" series, or better yet, an SD series if you can afford it. (The SD are powered by Li-Ion batteries while the "A" series uses Alkiline.)

You can use rechargeable NiMh AAs in the "A" series. They will generally last just as long as the Li-Ion ones and are way cheaper. A nice set of four runs about $10 and a good charger is about $25. Most of this series use two at a time, so for $35 you can have two sets. An extra Li-Ion one usually runs about $50. Also alkaline AAs are available almost anywhere in a crunch.

I'm getting Li-Ion for my 30D for about $25 (each charge gives me about 900-1100 [rated and actual] shots without flash - the A640 is rated about 500 shots on Ni-MH, other models less), but yes, alkalines are plentiful.

No offense and I am not trying to start and fight, but you are comparing apples to oranges when you are talking a DSLR battery vs. a p&s battery. For one, we do not get live preview on our DSLRs. That is a real huge power saver.

As for the price, a discount can be found on anything if you look hard enough. Like most people on this board, you are an informed buyer. Most average consumers beleive that the price Wal-mart charges is the best that they can get, so most people are paying $50-$100 for each extra one.

For a p&s, I see no reason why it having a Li-Ion should be a primary decision factor. AAs are simply more convenient due to their cheap price and availability. It is almost not even a decision that you can make on a DSLR. My K100D uses AAs, but Pentax switched for the K10D.

Back to the original point of this thread. The SD series is nice, but I really find them to be weaker due to the lack of manual controls. The "A" series gives much more room to improve your skills. I think the SD series is very well suited to DSLR users that do not want to lug around their gear sometimes. They understand the limitations and would have used their nicer cameras if the situation demanded it.
