??? about the Cultural Safari at AKL

Has anyone seen the "Cultural Safari" at AKL? It's a presentation by one of the African "ambassadors" about his or her own homeland held at the Sunset Overlook off the hotel lobby.

What's it like? Is it for everyone, or just folks staying at AKL? When is it and is it always held at the same time?

Does anyone know of similar "presentations" at other resorts?

We went to a few of them on our Nov. trip to AKL. We found them to be very interesting. Kids would find it boring I think. It is given by a few different CM's from different parts of Africa, we saw 3 seperate presentations when we were there. It is very informal, and you get a chance to ask questions as well. We enjoyed it, we learned a lot about Africa in a short time!

No kids so that's not going to be a problem.

I'm assuming that you were staying there to have made 3 seperate presentations. Were they only for AKL guests?

And what about the time frame? I was hoping that by coincidence it would be in the time period between AK closing and our dinner ressies for Boma's. I know that's wishful thinking but my mom has always told me that if you're gonna wish, then wish big LOL!

Do they have kind of a general presentation to get the questions started or just sit down in front of you and say "what do you want to know?"

We were staying at AKL, although no one asked if we were guests so it probably doesn't matter. It begins at 8:30 in the Sunset Savanah. The guides give a brief presentation and then answer questions.

Yes, it is in the evening, and according to the schedule we received when we were there in June it is every evening.
