We are planning on a one day trip to Disneyland. We just need a place to sleep after a late night at the park. Any advise from past guests would be appreciated.

It's a cute, older (I think it was built round the time the Park opened?) motel. Probably the last one around the area that still looks like it did back then. When I stayed, my room was clean but small. However, from now on I'll just admire the fake "snow" on the roof as I'm on my way to stay in another hotel.

When I got there, they said that they had "lost" my reservation, and that they'd see if they could find me a room. While the guy at the reservation desk was helpful, having one's reservation "lost" isn't a hassle I'd want anyone to go through! Also, the air conditioner in my room didn't work...NOT a good thing in the middle of July! It's a really long walk to and from the Park. The "shortcut" across the CA parking lot isn't much of a shortcut, IMO.

If you're looking for a "budget" place to stay that's close, clean, but nothing fancy, you should check out the Anaheim Plaza Hotel. They have a hot tub, and an Olympic-sized pool! If you book online, it's $10 a night less than making a reservation by phone. In the several times I've stayed there, they've never "lost" my reservation.

Then there's the HoJo, which wih the Entertainment Book you can get rates as low as $59 a night. I've not stayed there yet, so I can't tell you much about it. It is certainly much nicer than the Alpine motel, though :)
