In the "Unofficial Guide to WDW" it lists September 22-28 a crowd level of 8. 1 being lowest crowds 10 being highest crowds. Anyone have an idea as to why this would be? Is it just a typo? I hope the crowds aren't a level 8--that's when I'm going to be there!!

That is when we will be there also! What's up with that? I picked the end of Septmeber thinking it would be LESS crowded!

I think I remember reading on these boards that the level rating of 8 was a typo. I have been the last 2 Septembers and the crowd level was low. It was higher last Sept than the one in 2003. However, it's nothing like it can get. It can be very hot and humid and look out for the hurricanes!

Hi Kimber!

I wouldn't put too much faith in the UG. We go every September, for the exception of last year, we went over 4th of July and the first week of December instead. It is my favorite time to be at Disney. The crowd levels are light. Most rides have a max wait time of 15 min. The longest lines are in Fantasyland, but that is it.

I seem to remember that the UG listed the week following Thanksgiving as one of the lowest attendance weeks of the year. In reality we were very dissapointed with the crowd levels last year. It was horrible. Not near as crowded as July, but much heavier than September.

I agree with Hannahsmom, we were there the week after Thanksgiving as well and it was waaaay crowded, while the second week in September the year before was waaaaay slow and most everything was a walkon. We ate everywhere we wanted with no PS and only used FP once or twice. Also, UG said May would be 8 the week we were there but crowds were not bad at all.

I totally agree CDRN1 - The very best week in WDW is the first full week after Labor Day. We went that week in 03', this was when fireworks in the MK were only a few times during the week. We practically had the whole park to ourselves the Tues. of the week we were there. There were no fireworks that night and the MK was closing at 7:00. The park was all but empty after the 3:00 parade. My daughter and friend were able to stay on the teacups over, and over, and over because there was no one in line. Right before 7:00 we walked into the Crystal Palace for dinner (no PS) and there were only a dozen or so people in the entire Restaurant. We got so much character attention, it was almost too much. We were really spoiled by that trip.

We were there the last week of Sept. 2001. No crowds (2 weeks after 9-11)
we were there the last week of Sept 2004. No crowds through the week.
Wondering if the dining plan being included in the package will change this years attendance . We are once again going the last week of Sept.
