Fruit juices (real ones, not those high-fructose corn syrup ones) are still considered healthier than diet sodas. Diet sodas may not have the sugar, but they have all kinds of other unhealthy stuff in them.
Oh, and I don't think I ever actually told the OP... Although I'd like my kids school to encourage healthy eating habits, I wouldn't really expect them to change anything just for my child either. I'm happy to hear you informed your parents about the choices available and gave them the opportunity to voice their opinion, because I think that is their right, as the parents. If the other parents are fine with it, I wouldn't change my whole system, either (unless of course you change your mind about it
).
