I am a silver Castaway club member. My brother who is cruising with us in another room, is not. When my booking window opens, can I make a Palo reservation for all of us? Thanks!

Not right away. You can do your reservation but one way or another you'll have to wait until his check-in date in order to add him to your reservation... pending on availability.

I did this for my MIL and FIL. We are Silver and it's their first cruise. I first booked for 12:00 PM. Then, when I tried to add them to our reservation, I had to move our reservation to 12:30 PM in order to get a table for 4 because there was no more room for the 4 of us at 12:00 PM.

are you before your PIF date? If yes, you could move someone who is Silver in your room to his room (name change) and then put the other person in his room in yours. Because your "Castaway Club" room status is based upon the highest ranking person in the room. Then everyone can sleep where they are supposed to at night. You would probably want to get extra room keys made so the right people can get into the right room.

You can switch names as mentioned above, but even if you decide to book a brunch and it is not available when your brother's booking window opens, go speak with the Palo cast member right after you get on board. They often have a few openings left and you can reserve at that time.... assuming your PAT isn't very late, of course.

As others have said, nope, and it's a bummer. We just ran into this because I'm silver but my mom and her DH are newbies and we wanted to book Palo brunch and it was all full by the time their window opened. I have a two top booked with my DH and I, but I wasn't able to add my mom and step dad on. I'm going to pop over to Lumiere's first thing upon boarding and see if I can get us all a table. I've been checking pretty regularly since then and I've seen some reservations for two open, but nothing for four. I even called just in case and they couldn't help me.

So even though my DH is in one stateroom (he's silver) and I'm in the other (i'm silver too) but my two oldest kids are listed in my room but first timers, I will still have to wait even though I'm listed as the main in the cabin they are in? Bummer as thats the only reason we did the splitting up of DH and I was to hopefully book excursions and Palo especially for us and our two oldest using our check in time.

Since they are in your room you will be able to book for everyone in the room when the silver booking opens.

If they're in the same room, no, you don't have to wait. The OP specifically said that his brother was in another room.

Highest Castaway Club Status in a Stateroom "Wins" for all occupants.

  • Silver and first time cruises means Silver booking window
