? about renting points

could someone explain this to me. I need about 20 points to finish a vacation in April of 08. If i rent points from someonw with the same home, can i use their points to make the ressies 11 months out. In other words, will their points transfer into my 08 account. Also, if that works, can i then try for a different resort 7 months out with all of the points including theirs. If someone has done this and has a moment to explain this i would greatly appreciate it. i feel like we miss out on many of the possibilities of using our points because we are new to this.

Yes you are correct. You want to transfer in points from a friend. You can do this once per your UY.

You are talking about a transfer and not renting. If you rent, the owner will need to make the reservation for you and it still belongs to them until you check in.
