About renting points and cash for weekends

We are planning a trip in August 2007 for two weeks and would be interested in renting points. However, it would cost more to rent points for the two weekends than to pay cash. Could someone explain how this might work if renting points from one person. Could they attach a "cash discount" to the weekends and, if so, how much would that be. Am interested in a 2BR villa at the Beach Club. Thanks.

they can't do a cash discount for you.

DVC only allows members who are staying in that villa or studio to have the cash discount....

so you would need to get your own villa (or hotel) for the weekends.

or just live with the HIGH increase in point cost for the weekend....

thanks for the info...could the member I rent from just pay "straight cash", i.e. Disney rack price for the weekends?

You colud rent points for Sunday - Thursday and then go to the WDW website and book Friday and Saturday there. I do not think this would be a problem. You should check with someone to see if they would make you change rooms.
