? about re-entering same park

If I leave MK during the day, but return later, do I just swipe my card through again and they know I have been there already for the day.
We don't have hopper passes, so will only be leaving and returning to same parks the days we have lunch at resort restaurants. I've done it before, but don't remember.

If you don't have park hopper passes the only park you can re-enter the same day is the one you were at before, so you will have no problems going to Magic Kingdom and coming back later that same day.

I thought when using the finger scan you always the 2nd finger on your hand? That's the one I always used.

You can use any finger the first time you use the ticket. See Post #14 of the ticket stickey. Once you have used it, you must use the same finger each time. You would not believe the number of people who will use their thumb or something other than the right index finger. And a big problem occurs with people who do not even remember which hand they have used.

That's me... last time we were there I could never remember what hand I used never mind what finger. Too much to keep track of (Honey where are the kids?) now I have to keep track of what hand I used. Maybe they should change to Retnal scans

The sample picture on the turnstiles shows using the right index finger. If everyone were to do that, unless there was a physical limitation (such as that finger being missing or being bandaged), it would speed things up tremendously.

It just seems natural to me to use the right index finger. I didn't have a bit of trouble with it, nor did anyone else in my family, we all managed to get through the turnstiles pretty quickly.

Yes, same as you've done before. You can only re-enter the park were you enter at first.
