Hi , I am going to rent some points for our next trip ( Oct 2004 ) I was thinking at first I wanted BWV cause that clown slide sounds very appealing to my daredevil children ( ages 10 & 8 when we travel ) but then got thinking if we chose BCV we could use SAB and BWV pools Correct (as long as our resort Id states DVC memeber ) ??? Thanks for the Info --- also assuming it states DVC member we can hop to the Poly or CS ?? Thanks Michelle

Pool hopping is currently an option. It is never guaranteed to continue so I wouldn't make it crucial to your decision. There are sometimes "blackout" dates for pool hopping. It is also necessary to call ahead to the resort where you plan to "hop" to see if they are allowing hopping that day. If the pool fills, the lifeguard can ask you to leave.

As of today, SAB and AKL are the only two pools permanently off the pool hopping list for DVC members.

yes on the hold - I have never seem October in the list times that DVC member can't pool hop - so I would say go for the BCV. Even if you find you can't pool hop to the others - your kids will be happy with SALB.

But I really can't see DVC during away with pool hopping - it is a good selling feature and they are still selling.

You should also note that although renters have been allowed to use some member perks, it is not required or guaranteed. You could be told that you are not allowed to poolhop.... and, as Pam already stated, you could be asked to leave if a particular pool is overcrowded.

I'm not trying to discourage you... I just would hate to see someone build this in as a "must do" in their plan, and then be disappointed if they aren't allowed to poolhop when they get there.

SAB is a much cooler pool, BWV has a little better slide.

We hardly ever pool hop, The only place we have gone is over to SAB but don't really miss it now that it is off the pool hop list.

There is so much to do at WDW that pool hopping seems low on the list.

Tell me it ain't so?
No Hopping at SAB at all? Even November??????

You heard right. No pool hopping at SAB. That is one of the reasons we went ahead we choose BVC as our home resort instead of BWV. It was also one of the selling points our guide used with us.

Our family is one of the main reasons we joined DVC, and I figured SAB would be great for our children. BCV just seemed to be in total a great happy medium between something like BWV (action) and OKW (relaxation). Plus, with a mini-water park, we could easily get away with just staying at the resort and skipping the parks some days.

Anyway, no SAB. But I will have to say that the BWV slide looks much better than the SAB slide. Never been on either, but will be trying out both over the next 39 years!

Hi , Yep I know that with renting I might not have the DVC member on my card therefor preventing me from all the DVC perks .. I think we will see about BCV .. now I must post ?? on that .. Michelle Thanks for all the advise .. you are all most helpful
