We're planning to have a family photo taken in front of the castle at MK but will be going back to the resort early that afternoon and then going to Epcot for the evening. Does anyone recall how early you can pick up those photos or how long they keep them? I'm afraid they may not be ready before we leave the park. We will be going back to MK a couple of days later but I didn't know if we would still be able to get the photos after that long. Does anyone know about this? TIA

We had our picture taken in Epcot in January, and they told us the pictures would be ready for viewing in 2 hours, and would be available for 3 days. I would imagine that MK would have the same type of policy.

It doesn't take long for the pictures to make it back up front. It depends on when the photographer got out there. Most of the photographers told us the pictures would be ready in about 90 minutes. I do believe one said, 3 hours. Anyway, you'll see several photographers set up to take this shot. I'd ask them how long it will take before you take the picture. If you will be there all morning, that should be plenty of time. It doesn't take long for them to print the pictures after you pick out what you want. They printed 3 sets of pictures for me in less than 5 minutes.

Also, I was told that the pictures are discarded at the end of the day.

Hope this helps!

Thanks to both of you. That should work out just fine - we can swing by and pick them up on our way out of the park. Thanks again.:)

I asked how long the pictures are kept in MK and AK and both places told me 3 days.

Usually it takes about 2-3 hours for the pictures to return to where you can pick them up. Also, the pictures are usually kept for a minimum of 3 days (sometimes more). We actually had pictures taken at MGM, however, we were running really late (had a flight to catch) and didn't have time to stand in line to pick up the pictures. I asked a cast member at the photo pick-up, and she gave me the phone# to call, so we could order them over the phone when we arrived home to have the pictures sent. The cast member and the person over the phone, each said the pictures are normally held for at least 3 days. It did cost $5 extra dollars to pay for s+h, but it was worth it, the pictures came out great.
