? about paying for the wedding

i just recieved an e-mail with all the details worked out and price. i was really suprised as to how much less i thought we would owe.

she sent a paper for me to fax to her about credit card info. is this the only way to pay for the wedding? i was hoping just to use check, and use credit for when we are there.

I am sure you can pay by check because I have heard of other people that have not paid for their wedding until their wedding day. I would ask your lady about it and see what she says. You should consider a debit card. I love mine and I never have to worry about things like that.

I know that I wire-transferred some money to Disney for my Fairy Tale Weddings vow renewal. They gave me all the wire-transfer info and I followed the instructions. It was pretty painless.

Just a question to clarify--did you think it was going to be more or less than it ended up being?

it is much less than i thought.
although we did what is called the intimate add-on.
this lets you book your wedding package to your hotel room.
that way we can get a discount on the room and buy our park passes seperatly(my parents got them for us for christmas!).
i was origanaly going to use the package they offer and the cost they came up with for us(6 night stay at POR) was $4,500.
we saved a little over $1000 doing the add-on instead.
and this is BEFORE the hotel discount.

i have a question too about paying. i know it says you must be paid in full 30 days in advance of your wedding, but can you pay sooner than this?

Yes you can pay sooner if you wish - we were watching the exchange rate and on a day when we thought we were getting the best rate we asked to pay some of our balance then - we roughly knew how much it was going to be. Saved us a bundle and it's a way to help budget your money.

hi, we're in the UK and wondered how other people paid, trying to avoid bad exchange rates and charges.

Sadly they won't accept cash, which seems to be the way to get the cheapest American money

We got a credit card that offered a good exchange rate - Nationwide seemed the best at the time! We paid ours off that way - got about 1.9%

They dont charge either and you get the bank rate which is better!
