Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to search for this specific question, and have results show up!

We are arriving in Disney June 8th, and have the Dining Plan. We have friends that now live in the Orlando area, and are planning on meeting them for dinner. As they are residents, they will not be on the dining plan.

How does this work? Will Disney allow us to have two checks for one table, or will they charge us for 7 meal credits?

Any information would be appreciated!

Thanks so much.

You will be able to split your bill based on your dining plan, leaving your friends to pay for themselves. As per the FAQ on the dining plan brochure, you can't pay for people not on the plan, using your dining credits.

When you dine, just let the server know what meals are on the dining plan and which are not. At the end of the meal, ensure that he has the correct information and you will each get a bill.

We did this on our last trip without a problem.
