We didn't select additional housekeeping during our stay. Is the box of dishwashing detergent sufficient for 5 days? If not i'll buy some at the store. Any other things i should put on my list? Thanks a bunch.

That's one item that I've never run out of, but, then and again, I don't cook. We still use cups and glasses so I run it once a day.

We always bring shampoo, soap and laundry detergent. Coffee, tea, etc, is also on my list.

Hope this helps!

You should have plenty of dishwashing detergent for the dishwasher & liquid for the sink.

However, if you choose to do laundry, you might want to bring your own laundry detergent, dryer sheets, whatever you use. You will get one small box of detergent. I save small plastic soda bottles & fill them with my liquid detergent. When the bottle is empty, I recycle it at WDW.

You will get a bar of soap for each bathroon sink (two) & a bottle of shampoo, but we bring our own soap & shampoo from home. I bring home the unopened Mickey ones & donate them to a local homeless shelter.

I also bring some extra baggies for various odds & ends that I collect during the stay.

I don't do much cooking, so others who do cook, can give you an idea of what they bring.

if you run out - call housekeeping they will replace it at no cost.

I bring clothes washing detergent and fabric softner - but I am allergic to Tide. Also a non-stick pan, I buy groceries when I arrive - Florida does not have sales tax on food from a grocery store - Alabama does - so it is cheaper for me (on most things).

Just to clarify things a little.

Housekeeping will replace free of charge: diswashing detergent and soap for the sink. Laundry soap you get a one-load box when you check-in and then an additional box on trash&towel day (sometimes you may have 2 or 3 boxes at check-in if the previous occupants didn't use thier boxes).

For the laundry, we usually throw a few of those tablets in our luggage along with some dryer sheets in a ziplock bag.

Thanks for all your help. We are leaving at the end of August so i'm planning. Yes, i always bring fabric softener sheets, tablet laundry detergent, etc. etc. During the year if i get sample shampoo or body wash i put that aside for trips too.

A previous poster mentioned it, but I'd like to emphasize the non-stick pan. We don't do a lot of cooking when we're there, but we usually do a breakfast sandwich type thing(bacon, egg, cheese or ham, egg, cheese)and a non-stick pan makes this a whole lot easier. We bought a cheap 7" pan...it's not too big in the suitcase.
