Norwex seems to have invaded our area recently and I just bought a few enviroclothes. My friend/consultant told me to use them wet (wrung out water) to clean my wood. Do you all agree? I have several antique pieces in my home and I'm just not sure. Also, can you use "products" with these clothes? What about vinegar? I tried one of the damp clothes on my bathroom veneer wood blinds (They have build up from hairspray and makeup) and it did NOT do the trick. I'd like to try with water/vinegar. Any suggestions?

Also, if you use Norwex, what products do you recommend? My house tends to be dusty because we live near fields/prairies and only have electric so little airflow/filtering during the cooler months.

Thanks!

My guess is that the cloth you used on your blinds wasn't the right one. The textures/weaves of all the Norwex cloths are extremely specific for different things. I personally would think you'd need one with a bit more "roughness" to it than the one you used for blinds. Hairspray etc buildup needs a minute or two of absorbing water too, so just a quick wipe wouldn't be effective.

Other than the actual Norwex products (ie the marble dust, or laundry soap) the entire point of Norwex is to do away with products. I am just "getting into" it, as it's WAY out of my budget to buy any of their sets, but I have several friends who have higher incomes who have gone "all in" with Norwex and swear by it. A couple of them are even professional cleaners and use only Norwex stuff for their jobs.

HTH!:thumbsup2

I just use the cheaper "E-cloths" that are only about $5 ea on Amazon. I do want to buy the real Norwex at some point because I haven't experienced magical cleaning ability with the knockoff. Have to say though, I will never try them in the bathrooms or for kitchen sink, raw chicken, etc. as In Clorox I Trust. :rotfl2:

Norwex is amazing. I would feel confident using them on your antique furniture. Nothing would be safer. You should not be using anything on the cloths except water. The ones that I use the most are the window cloth, dusting mit, and the standard enviro cloths. They are expensive, but last a long time, and work 100 times better than the cheap ones you can buy. The cheaper ones don't have as much of a thread count so they aren't as effective. Norwex enviro cloths are just as good as using bleach and you should feel confident that they would take away bad germs whether from the bathroom or around raw meat. I will say that when I first started using them that it was a hard transition to just use the cloths and water because I was so used to using a chemical spray as well. You do get used to it though.
