Hi all! I'm new to this forum, but not Disneyland. We've taken our kids (now 13, 16, and 19!) to Disneyland every April school break since 2004. Prior to that we had visited in July, and had beautiful weather and really low crowds (even the CM commented on how quiet it was). Well, with every year we've visited, it seems to get a little busier! Now that we have one in college, we are needing to go in summer (she still loves Disneyland!) so we are planning June 21-25 as park days...only one day that does not have AP blocked. So here's my question! I am concerned about having days that are so crowded that if we leave the park, we won't be able to get back in! My son has Asperger's, and is on a special diet. I always pack all our food for the trip. We stay at a hotel on Harbor, and we walk back for lunch and dinner. Do you think Disneyland would make special concessions for people who need to leave for medical reasons, and let them back into the park? It would be difficult to have to pack all his food in for five days...I really need access to a fridge and microwave, at least.

By the way, I read Hydroguys tips on a summer trip, and found them really interesting! I think a really crowded Disneyland may be a little bit of a shock to us!

Really interesting question and I have no idea. But I am interested in whatever you find out! popcorn::

While Disneyland does get very busy on summer days, I would be very surprised if there were gate closures on a regular (even non-blockedout) summer day. That is something that more often happens for special times of the year like Christmas/New Year's. We have been at the parks for spring break, Halloweentime, Thanksgiving, New Year's, other holiday weekends and summer. As AP holders, we do not normally need to get handstamps but are often advised to do so during these busy days. Only occasionally have the CMs asked to see the handstamps when we return, and we have not yet had the misfortune to run into a gate closure coming back into the parks in the afternoons or evenings. From Internet reports that I read later, it seems the gates were temporarily closed only a few times during all of our visits, and that generally happened before/during a show like the fireworks when people were trying to pour into the parks in time to catch the entertainment, and those were also holiday times. I'm thinking you'll be fine.

Even on days where the park hits capacity, you are allowed reentry. They just stop letting new people enter. As always just get your hand stamped when you exit.

Further I'd be surprised if either park could hit capacity on the days you are going, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Hi there! It's good to see someone else with teenagers who also like DL! We are going this summer (end of May/beginning of June) with our 2 who are 15 & 18, they LOVE DL as much as I do, so I am so thankful for that! Can I be nosey and ask which hotel you stay at on Harbor? I'm still trying to decide if the BW Park Place Inn will be a good fit for us, we normally stay at the Fairfield. We need at the very least, a room with 2 queen beds.

As far as DL letting you back into the park, just get a hand stamp and you'll be good to go! Maybe I misunderstood your question?

Have a great time! We can't wait!

We are staying at Camelot Inn & Suites. They have a family suite that has a table and chairs in the room that we can eat at...it is so much nicer than using a coffee table. The beds are a little hard, but it has always been clean and quiet. And close! That's important when you walk back and forth as much as we do. And a family suite is really nice with three teenagers!

I was concerned about when the park gets so full that they don't allow re-entry...even with hand stamps. It is sounding like it may not be so busy that we have to worry about that. Hopefully!

I guess we've raised our teens right...to love Disneyland as much as we do!
