Cardinal~ Your mom sounds like my kind of mom! Let me tell you my story.
My youngest (DS15- Gamebot on vmk) was spending most of his 'fun' computer time on vmk (we use the computer for 'work', too...we homeschool), and I knew he was interacting with more and more people. My concern also was growing, even though I knew that it was Disney. Disney I had a certain level of comfort with, but who were these people he was talking to? 'They' I did not trust! We had 'the talk' several times.

He kept a good attitude, though.
Now this boy is wise beyond his years (takes after his momma

) He kept calling me over to the computer to show me stuff. Characters, pins, rooms, furnishings, conversations with 'friends'... Well, you can figure out the rest. I joined vmk and Gamebot was my first friend! I was free to 'drop in' on him at any time, and for a few days I did! As my comfort level increased, I wondered off, making my own friends and earning my own credits. Now
he follows
me around...lol! (Most of his friends are in school during the day.)
Anyway, Cardinal, obey your mom and love her to pieces for looking out for you. Invite her to read through this thread, and maybe she will give vmk another look. Even if she won't, be happy and thankful for such a good momma!
