Still trying to figure this all out before we buy...

What is the advantage of having multiple contracts at different resorts? I understand that they would be easier to resell in smaller amounts but does it give you an advantage in booking earlier. Lets say you have 150 at SSR and 50 at BCV and 50 at BWV all with the same use year. Are you able to use all 250 pts at BCV and book at the 11mo window even though your only technically using 50 of the BCV points?

The only advantage is the 11 month window booking advantage. Points can't be combined from different resorts, so you can book whatever points you own at a certain resort at 11 months out. At 7 months out, you may combine your points from multiple contracts to book anywhere.

Also, some folks with multiple contracts use the 11 month window every 3 years. They bank their points and borrow points to get enough for a ressie at 11 months. So if you have 100 points at a resort, you bank 100 to the next year then borrow 100 from the year after that and end up with 300 points at 11 months even though the contract is for only 100. We do not do this. We have multiple add-ons at one resort, one use year. I am too old to deal with lots of point tracking, even with a computer's help! But if you REALLY want ressies at more than one resort on a regular basis, multiple contracts at different resorts is probably a good idea.
