? about MNSHH

I dont know what forum to put this on and since we will be at the fort I thought I would post here. We are considering doing the MNSHH when we are there in Oct. If I understand the description, the park is only open to the people who hold this extra ticket? We (very unlikely) may not be able to do this trip so I dont want to commit to anything that I cannot be refunded. Does anyone know if these tickets are refundable? or if they can be transfered to someone else? Does it take place over the entire park, or just some parts of it? Is it terribly crowded? Since it is ticketed I would guess it isnt too crowded but if they limit it to certain areas then maybe it does get crowded. Sorry for rambling.

They are not refundable, as far as transferring them I bought some ( Three )one year and couldnt go, so I sent them to my niece with receipt as being paid for her to use as she lives near, they would not honor them and she had to buy some out her own money..

MNSSHP is not too crowded. They will not refund your tickets, so don't buy them until you are sure you can make the party. It is a fun time. We went last September for the first time (DH made me go), and it was a blast. We are two adults who left the kids at home, and had a great time there.

Non , refundable/non transferable. That being said, while there are probably some dates that do sell out, there were tickets available every night we were there last fall (Sept. 19-26). Depending on when your dates are, it may be better to just get them then, or right before you leave for your trip.

Our first MNSSHP last September was great! My DS19 says it was his favorite thing EVER (and that kid has had some amazing trips in his life, lol). So we bought tickets and did it again before we came home (because when your oldest kid still wants to hang with you and do that kind of stuff, take it as long as you can get it, lol).

The whole park was open, although some of the shops/stands were closed. We were able to visit characters, ride rides multiple times, trick or treat, see the fireworks and parade plus some store browsing. It was a great time. This year, we are all doing costumes.

I would check about the non-refundable part.
Last year I bought tickets to MVMCP. I then changed my dates to Thanksgiving week. No MVMCP that week.
I cancelled the tickets and they refunded my money. No problem.
Doesn't hurt to ask.

The number of people there really depends on your dates of travel. You said October . . . early, middle or late? We went Oct. 29, 2008 and found it to be CRAZY BUSY! So not worth the money. We would never do it again. Every ride line was busy, parade route was packed (we arrived at our spot 1 hr early and waited patiently only to have a bunch of other kids try to push ours out of the way), candy lines were long and the candy variety was cheap junk that no one wanted. We, obviously, were very disappointed what we wasted out money on it.

HOWEVER, I hear many people talk about their love for the party. Like I said, it all probably depends on your travel dates. It gets busier the closer it is to Halloween. If you're going in early Oct. you might be fine.

I understand the not refundable part, but not the transferring part. We had 4 extra tickets in 2008 that were my moms. We went to the ticket window and traded them in for a different night, so we got to go twice in 1 week. There are no names on the tickets, so I don't know why anyone couldn't use them.
