? about member event held at BLT??

I'm going in August w/ my mom -- we are both DVC members (different contracts of course) and we would like to attend the meeting that is held at BLT that goes over current add on pricing, and gives a tour of BLT. Can we reserve that before we get there in August? I'd like to get that scheduled and out of the way so we can work on our vacation plans

I don't think they let you schedule ahead of time. We found a DVC booth when we first arrived on Saturday night and scheduled a tour for Monday. As long as you don't want to go on your first day it should be OK.

We scheduled when we were there too!! We also fell in love with the resort and had to buy points!!

My DH and I did a BLT add-on a couple of years ago, but we have never stayed there. My mom is looking to do an add-on so I thought going would be fun/interesting for both of us

I received an email inviting me to attend, the link didn't work so I left a message for my guide and she got me the reservation.

However, Niki, can I ask you, how long was it? Was the sales pitch a only for Bay Lake Towers? Were there any incentives?
Did you get to see the Top of the World Lounge?

I'm seriously second guessing attending. We will only be there for a long weekend and I'm not sure I want to spend time "away" from my vacation, so any info you can offer would help with my decision.

I received the same email, where the link did not work. I also called my guide and told her I was specifically interested in attending a member event at The Top of the World Lounge. She called back and asked which day we would like to attend....she did not tell me which dates were available! So I have to call her back. I have already toured BLT but I would really like to see the lounge. I would like more info on the event as well. I will post if she gives me further details.

We attended in May and it took us about 2 hours for the presentation and the tour and then meeting with a guide. There was a large group so it took a while for a guide to be available. The presentation is held in the TOWL and light snacks were available.They did offer incentives and had games with prizes. We got a tote bag, a lanyard and a pin. When we met with the guide we got some special fast passes. We ended up adding on with points at VGC.
