I have read about members making their reservations one day at a time. I am thinking of doing this for an early December stay. If I am staying 3 nights, does that mean I will have 3 separate confirmation numbers? Or, does MS combine the ressie into one?
Thanks in advance.

when you first call tell ms what you are planning - then take their advice - if they say yes - you need to call each morning - do it as soon as possible to their opening - if she says there are plenty - wait until your regular time to make the reservation.

Now if it is necessary to make the day by day reservations - tell MS exactly what you are doing and they will just add each day to your reservation.

so only one reservation confirmation and you won't get it until all the days are made.

I guess I'm an ameature. I'm confused. Why would you want to make a rez day by day and not all at once? What is the advantage to doing this?

By doing day by day, you are guaranteed the first shot at the room of your choice on the first day it becomes available. Here is an extreme example but say you want to reserve a room for next December 1 through 8. You could call for the whole thing on December 9. But a lot of other people want December 1 through 7. They call on December 8 and you are out of luck on December 9 when you call.

Day by day is really important during very busy DVC times for room categories that are limited like standard and Boardwalk view rooms at the BWV or Grand Villas at OKW (not sure yet about SSR).
