about long halls at BWV

I'm quite sure that the BWV halls are much longer than that. No need to bring in any facts from a specious source - especially if they contradict DIS convention.

Lately, way too many people have been trying to make reservations at the BWV. It's important that we "old timers" continue to PROPERLY INFORM new people about the looooooooooooooooong, interminably long hallways at the BWVs.

Good of you to bring this up again. It's been quite a while since we've had a proper whine about those hallways (or the scary Clown and the teeny, tiny rooms and well, I don't have time to mention everything).

IMHO, no one should stay at the BWV. Bad enough we owners have to stay there.

As for the VWL & BCV, I think Tinkerbell uses up her daily allotment of pixie dust at the VWL & BCV - that's why no one complains about them. They have too much pixie dust in their eyes to ever notice anything except well, sometimes, Tinkerbell forgets to dust the last few VWL rooms and then people complain about a "dumpster" view.

;) ;) :teeth:

You think you have it bad... I own solely at BWV! I can't tell you how I regret buying into to the MAZE in the HAZE. It seems like when I need to leave my room to do anything... it is a marathon. Why did you bring up that clown again... DW and I no longer frequent that area... The DVC marketing people really did a killer job when presenting this one! What the H were we thinking when we bought BWV? I am sorry for my rant... certain negative emotions have been stirred up here. I am going to take some meds and re-group.

So there I am on Monday.....I've been at BWV for almost 3 days now...what to do to occupy myself as I walk the interminable walk to my room from the elevator? Count my steps!!! 135 steps from the elevator to room 5017, a bit before the Crest waves. To my room facing the quiet pool, that was 2 villas down from the canal end of the bldg?? 230 steps!

I've had huge walks at POP, at BCV's and at POR...never complained about them, not going to start now. If I'm at BWV, I am not complaining about anything!!!

Like the way you think:thumbsup2

Thought the stair @ BWV were lifesavers...we tended to head down them, cut across pool area & over bridge to catch the boat @ the Swan...if only to break the monotony.

We had the last room in the long hallway @ WLV...reminded us all of The Shining...when the hallway just kept stretching...we'd try to count the steps but, got lost in a case of the giggles before we made it...can't wait to do it again.

So, if the halls at BW are so long, why can't I get reservations there??? I have been on that doggone waitlist for 9 months(so far), and I STILL have not gotten two nights, Dec. 20-21. Will all the complainers PLEASE cancel their
reservations in December? I don't mind the walk--in fact, I used the interior hallways for my jogging, it's cooler than going outside! :rotfl:

It doesn't matter how long any of the hallways are at each of the resorts, because there's one thing I know for certain...I will be assigned the room that is the farthest away!!! It has turned into a joke with our family because every subsequent visit we seem to be placed further away than the one before. We walk, and walk, and walk...I grumble, and grumble, and grumble. I think I'll make it easier on everyone for our next trip and just ask outright for the most undesired location available: dumpster view -- who cares, handicap access -- who cares, closest to the road -- who cares. That way I have no illusions of grandeur and things can only get better (right?). :teeth:

Exercise is good for you.

Oh yes, one more thing, don't forget to eat a piece of fruit.

It's because so many people have gotten lost in the hallways that they can't check out. They are stuck back there. ;)

What -- and take a chance of not making it to the bathroom on time? No way, man! :teeth:

WOW! When I started this post ( 10/26/06 Thurs) I was in the lobby of the BWV walking to the last room by canal :rotfl2: I just got there( 10/28/06 Sat) to the last room and another WOW, that was longer than I thought and I'm really tired. Sorry I bought all my pts here :teeth:
I think Disney shouldn't sell any more pts for BWV because it will just tire out people so they won't go to the parks. :faint:

When we stayed in September, we were overlooking the village green, right around the corner from the elevator. Then we came home and bought points there.

I am guessing next time we will need water bottles, a map, and some beef jerky for the trek!! :rotfl:

Are you my twin??? I have had dumpster view at YC...been thrown out of my room when the King of Tunisia had a gander to visit WDW and take the entire floor at BCV, a savanah room at AKL that was at the AL border and my favorite a BWV boardwalk view that every drunk that ever visited BW stood in front of and yelled.

Of course our room keys had an issue after a long Epcot death march day and we had to go back TWICE to the lobby to get new room keys.

Now it is funny but my feet hurt thinking about it!

Don't you get it!... They know who is ready to buy.. so you get the room near the elevator. You are now one of us... Don't think that you won't get the furthest room from the elevator next time... Another one bites the dust... Please listen to me.. don't come here... they abuse us!!! Go to BCV... They treat their people right.

I think I love you!  :stir: :p Yes, eveyone try for BCV (or VWL or OKW or SSR or anywhere BUT BWV.

Signed,

A BWV owner who doesn't care which room she gets or how far she walks in the hallways - as long as there is a standard view or a guaranteed Boardwalk view available when she books! :teeth:

Wow, three days to get to your room! I guess you were in survival mode, and survived by eating scraps out of the trash bags people left in the hallways? :rotfl2:

Actually it was probably all those room service trays. I hear ketchup IS a vegetable. ;)

Because someone asked.. and in honor of Richyams.. I am bumping this hilarious thread.

Enjoy everyone.. this one is an oldie but goodie. It made me laugh out loud.
:lmao:

Thanks Cindy K. I'm really enjoying this thread!

Here is why the Boardwalk's halls are so.....long.

There is a good chance that when making the walk you have either...

spent the entire day at Epcot, and walked from somewhere in World Showcase all the way back to the resort and to your room X001,

OR

spent the entire day at Magic Kingdom, where you waited 45 minutes for a bus back to BWV, just to stand all the way back, while stopping at 4 other resorts, then had to walk from the bus dropoff, all the way back to your room.

Is it just me, or is that walk from the bus depot back to the resort just agonizing after a long, long day?

DVC is going to install a people mover in the halls of BWV in 2011:lmao: but it will only move one way (towards the rooms) When you leave your room for the parks you need to walk faster against the tread.:rotfl2: Hey its a step in the right direction for BWV.: Maybe in 2012 someone will put in a reverse switch:eek: all I see now are people falling down when that switch is hit.popcorn::
I still say DO NOT BUY AT BWV, YOU WILL BE SORRY;)
