This will be our first stay in a studio and was just wondering if DVC members have to pay to use laundry room at Kidani? Also, do they have detergent available to buy or should we bring our own?

There is a laundry room at KV. You will need to provide your own detergent and softener (if you use that). They usually sell it in the laundry room or at the store. The washers look like they take money, but none is required.

Regardless of where I stay or the size of the villa, I like to buy the 'sample' size detergent at Target or Walmart. They either are for 1 or 2 loads, usually cost a dollar and that way I usually get a brand I am familiar with and like and I have no doubt about having what I need. They fit really well in a suitcase too because they are either really small bottles or flat packages.
