About how many pictures do you take?

I am a big fan of the digital cameras and will normally take around 100 pix a day. I have a Sony 5 megapixel with a 8x optical and 2x digital zoom. I like the memory sticks as they are compatible with all the rest of my Sony devices. My last trip I had 1.2gigabytes of pictures that I downloaded onto the computer. Over 600 pictures.

The ability to print what you want and manipulate pictures for scrapbooking and printing is the best benefit I can see. I also take my favorite pix and put them in "My picture" in Windows and then set that to scroll through for my computer screen saver. My kids love to sit and watch all the pix and talk about their memories from the trips. Just a little touch of Disney pixie dust everyday helps me get through!

I took my digital cmaera that uses min cd disk, and took over 700 pictures, it also takes video and used a few disk for that. My son used my point and shoot 35mm camera and took about 7 rolls of film. Of all the pictures taken I had 400 of them printed up but still have the others on the disk and picked out my favorites and use as a screen saver.

The last trip we took, Nov 2003, I took over 700 pictures on my digital camera, I have printed about 100 of them so far and have sent many of them, about 90% to family or friends via email.

During my family's last vacation to Disney World, I forgot to download my photos from my digital camera to my laptop before leaving Ft. Wilderness. I was left with 4 pictures for the entire day.

I didn't want to go back to the cabin so I went to buy a new memory stick. I went to the photo center on Main Street and learned, they now offer a kiosk where you can burn your photos to CD from your memory stick, and other popular memory formats.

I spent $12.95 to create a CD of my pictures and was off enjoying the rest of my day in 15 minutes. Now I take as many pictures as I want and don't worry about filling my memory card.

jpd3... I have a Sony 5.0 megapixel camera too.. the Cybershot. The zoom isn't that great, but other than that, I love the camera. Like you mentioned, the memory stick also can be used in our video camera!!

My first trip with a new digital camera, I took over 2,000 images. :earsboy:

Here's the best of them .

I only took about 1,000 when I went on my cruise a year later.

Here they are .

I tend to take multiple pictures of the same thing, and choose the best one. Having a laptop or portable storage device helps immensly.

On the average for a six day trip I use approx. 12 rolls of 35 mm film w/ 24 photos on them. We also take and use our digital camera and our DVD camcorder.

I love taking photos and I thought I was the only person that went overboard on the pictures. That is why I love the DIS so much, because as soon as I think I am to the Disney extreme - I read something on here that makes me realize that there are so many other people like me out there.

I come back with 300-500 at least on my digital camera. Plus our camcorder.

Wow- and my girls think I take a lot of pictures! Very jealous of all your digital cameras. Not in our budget this year, so will need to rely on my trusty little Olympus 35mm. Very excited though to try out our brand-new camcorder that replaced our 10 year-old model that died.

I am now very inspired and will make it my mission to get some great shots this trip. Guess I'll need to grab more film before we leave on Friday.

Hmmm, just had a thought. My mother is not going with us this time so perhaps she would loan her digital camera?? Will have to find a way to sweeten the deal. Hand over your camera while you watch our dog and hamsters for us might not go over too well.

PhotobearSam here answering on my DH's sig...It's his computer.

1245 pics on our first trip (11 days) all on film....

Now with the digital...I would guess 2000...give or take a few.

We take on average 160 per card and up to 2 cards a day on a nice long day...::yes::

We are very bad about taking pictures. We always have our digital camera with us, but we rarely think to pull it out. Sometimes we'll take 80-100 pictures in a weekend (but less than half are keepers), but more often it's less than 30 (again, keeping less than half). Last time, we took 3.
