We are thinking of getting the King Suite on our next trip, because we want to take our son's friend to Disneyland with us. He has never been to Disneyland! It will be so exciting for him!! Anyway, there will be 5 of us - my spouse and I, then a 13, 12, and 7 year old. The kids suite would have been perfect, but they are sold out. I really wanted to not have to get a cot for our 7 year old if we take the King Suite, but in a King Suite, she would have to have a cot so the 2 boys can have the sofa bed. I also love the idea of 2 bathrooms in the kids suite. The Queen suite is also not available or I'd have been all over that.

So my questions are:
Does anyone know how comfortable the pull out sofa bed is in the King room? Our 13 year old has a lot of concerns about whether or not he'll feel comfortable sleeping on it. (He has Aspergers with sensory issues as well, and it can create anxiety for him both in advance and when there if he feels the bed might not be what he's hoping for.) He also worries about the size of the bed but the mattress is a full Queen size, right?

Can a cot fit in the room with the King bed? We could also have our 7 year old sleep beside me in the King bed rather than get her a cot, but she kicks so much it seriously hurts! :sad2: :lmao:

Can anyone tell me where the proximity of the King Suite is to room 1713? That's the room we had once before, and it was fantastic!!

Are the balconies adjoining, in the King Suite? I would assume not.

If anyone has photos of the King Suite to post, please do post some. Thank you so much! I can see pics. of the room on the Hojo website, but am curious to see a little bit more.:)

Note to Lorealle - If you read this, please, can you check your PM's on the Hojo boards? My email is having a hard time getting through, so I PM'd you on your board. Thanks!! :)

It's more than likely just a standard sofa sleeper. Pretty thin mattress.A little old man comlpained a few years ago how he wanted a 'real' queen mattress on a sofa sleeper. Trying to fold a mattress that thick would be impossible.

Thanks for your reply. I have a hunch you're right about the thickness of the mattress on the fold out sofa bed in the King suite.

If the kids suite or Queen suite doesn't open up for us by the time we go, we'll maybe end up taking the Premium Disney View rooms, as we know the beds are very comfy there.

I can tell you the Queen Suite fold out mattress is pretty darn thin. One kid did fine on it, but I would have had a hard time with 2. I'd say it's a full size, not a queen.

Thanks, DangerMouse for your reply! :) I guess one can't really expect a fold out to be nearly as comfie as the Hojo's Heavenly Beds. :rotfl:
