I went to Gymboree today to exchange a pair of shorts my son recieved as a gift. I was getting the same exact shorts in a different size. I had a gift receipt. When I went to the cashier she wanted to charge me $11 more because the shorts were purchased using a coupon. I thought that was ridiculous. I could understand if I was trying to buy a different item it was just a different size. I told the woman that I couldn't understand that, and wasn't that the point of having a gift receipt. The cashier said that sometimes it is better not to have a gift receipt
. So she finally agreed to an even exchange when I told her to give me the shorts back, and I would be back in to exchange them without the receipt. Does anyone else find this policy stupid. I shop alot in Gymboree (for myself and gifts) and this really annoyed me
Tara
Edited for corrections especially receipt which I spelled wrong everytime
