We will be in the parks Friday to Sunday the first weekend in May. Friday night is grad night. Does this affect crowd levels during the day on Friday? Is Saturday a lot more crowded than usual? :confused3

Grad Night is an after hours hard ticket event and the park is cleared before those people are allowed in. Crowd levels might increase some in the afternoons but only for those who already have an annual pass since the GN tickets will not allow entry before the event begins. Weekends are usually busier than weekdays but in early May, it's not all that busy.

There's no more Grad Night, last year was the last one in WDW. Disney land still has there's. Grad Bash at Universal is still on.

Will have to make sure that we are in the parks early.....tks for this info

Yup...you're right...I didn't catch it. I'm sure the OP meant Universal's event.

Looks like this is what is going on that Friday we are there this trip. I was wondering why both parks were closing at 6pm those nights.

We are staying onsite so I am not too worried about the crowds except for WWOHP:). Friday I am planning on taking the group to Discovery Cove...keeping my fingers crossed that the new freshwater area will be open Mid-May.

We also booked before we realized it was a grad bash night. I imagine it will only really be an issue our first day when the parks close at 6. We get there around 2 and were planning to spend an evening at the park but we've made other plans. We're going to make a reservation for a nice dinner and hang out at the pool for the evening. That way we can be well rested for opening the next day:thumbsup2
