? about glow necklaces

Where are you finding the cheapest bracelets and necklaces? I thought Oriental Traders was the place to go....I checked our Michaels and I didnt see any Anyone order from Oriental Traders? What did you think?

I bought mine off of ebay for 21 bucks for the 50 necklaces...have no idea if that's good or not but we used some and they glowed for more than 24 hours!!

I got 200 bracelets on eBay for $20. They can be joined to make necklaces.
(the auction was actually 99 cents, but they are one of those sellers that tack on fees to their shipping to make up the cheap sell price)

I looked tonight when I was at Walmart and they had packages of 3 necklaces for $.92, I picked up one of each color (pink, orange, blue and green). I'll keep looking and see what else I find.

You may want to check the fine print on those packages.

I went to Wal-Mart yesterday to pick up the same packages, and it says 3 for $.92, but when you read the fine print it says 3 8" BRACELETS to make 1 24" necklace...so basically 1 necklace for $.92!!!

I had 8 of each color in my cart (thinking I had close to 100 necklaces for about $30) before I realized it and put them all back.

I got 100 assorted necklaces online for under $50 with shipping.

I just ordered 100 from Illuminationz...under $50 with shipping. I've never ordered form there before but someone else had posted about them. They should arrive in the next week or so. I'm planning on opening them to test 1 out of each tube to ensure them work.

Here's a site that sells FIFTY 22" necklaces for $22.95. They have a choice of colors (only show the green in the image - use drop down menu for color choices). Discount offered for buying more than one package at a time.

I didn't order my glow sticks from them, but I did order some other items (I got the bunny ears which make great Mickey Ears if you use the bracelets instead of the longer necklaces) along with some 1" glowsticks to make earrings out of. (haven't activated those yet - will use them in a few days!!). Shipping was great - packaged well and good delivery time.

When I ordered mine glowsticks from ebay, I decided to go with the bracelets because they would be easier to carry around without activating before handing out - and I could give more bracelets out for the cost than I could necklaces. Spread the magic a little further, ya know?


ETA - the same site also has the 8" bracelets at 100 for $8.25. (also has color choices - single colors or mixed)

I checked ebay, I checked Orintal Trader and now I will try Illuminationz and see which is the best. I figure there are 8 of us for 9 days....the kids will want one for every night. The grownups and smile bu giving some away. 100 is a good number.

Depends on how you look at it. The $ store ones just come in a thin wrapper, right? Not much protection to keep them from breaking/activating in the bag.

The ones you buy 50 or 100 at a time come in a rigid cardboard tube. There is pretty much no way they can activate before you want them to.

With a toddler it's also a LOT easier to shop online than to have to keep him out of everything at the dollar store while I rummage through there dirty bins looking for 50+ packages - that may or may not be activated already.

We don't have Five Below here...

We go in 3 days - when I get back, I'll try to remember to post and let you know if TSA inspected my friends checked bag which will have the 100 glowstick bracelets in it. (have a TSA approved lock that has an indicator on it if TSA opened the lock.)

Got a package of 50 bracelets from "FIVE BELOW" for $5. Figure I can give some away each night to other "Disney newbies"!!!

Five Below's are only located in VA, MD, NJ, PA. There are only about 50 stores total, but I think they are expanding quickly. They are awesome stores! I bought 3 tubes of glow bracelets from there. We used 2 while at Disney. We passed out necklaces to kids around us at Fantasmic. And when our power went out 3 weeks ago we popped open the 3rd container and used them to light the floor in case some one had to get up in the middle of the night for a bathroom run. They are great!

Just GOOGLE search GLOW BRACELETS or GLOW NECKLACES and order online. That's what we did and got them at a reasonable price. We found that home locations were charging middleman prices? Hope this helps

I found some cool flashing light necklaces at Dollar Tree - they have an on/off switch so they can be used more than once, too! I also bought regular glow bracelets there!
